Curb Appeal
First, look at the outside of your house, or your curb appeal. Take a fresh look at the exterior of your home from the view of a passerby. What do you notice first? What would've-been-eye-catching characteristics seem waiting to be noticed? Understanding this assists us in determining what steps we can take to draw buyers from the street and into your house. If your home isn't the best it can look on the outside with refreshed paint and bright garden plants it's time to get those things done. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and increase your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your home seem to say, "This is Your Next House" to a buyer? Looking through your property with a critical eye, I'll advise you of arrangements that improve Open House appeal. I'll suggest that you eliminate things that give the illusion of clutter. Table and counter tops should be clutter-free. Knickknacks, souvenirs, family photos, and play time works of art should get moved out of sight. We'll de-clutter your house. Unattractive or busy spots make your home seem smaller and buyers have a harder time picturing themselves living there.
I'll review every room of your home. I'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, carpet needing to be changed, fixtures that could use polishing, and any other improvement that can quickly be made to positively impact the sale.
With me by your side, you'll know that your house is neutral and that it's inviting, staying away from "offensive" or "can't-work-with" hues on the walls and furniture. And if you've already moved out, you can think about renting furniture. The goal is for your home to look ready to live in as opposed to deserted.

Setting the Stage I'll tell you when you're ready to show your house, because everything comes together to create a picture of what buyers can expect after they close on your house. Lighting is critical and we'll open curtains, and create light where needed to show off your home. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music playing softly and assure a pleasant aroma circulates from every area. We'll make use of cozy-looking blankets, and pillows on your chairs and bed. We want buyers to feel like your current place has the potential to be. |
