Tucson Real Estate News

Tucson has had a long romance with Snowbirds. Not the kind with feathers. We’re talking people, mostly retired, who come to Tucson for the mild winters. Snowbirds have an impact on the Tucson real estate market as well as the local economy.

Tucson has lots of restaurants for people of all ages to go to. Everything from stands along south 6th to fine restaurants, with everything in between. A few years back I remember seeing a study about number of restaurants per capita. Tucson ranked high on the list. So there is no problem with food here.

Gas prices tend to stay lower than the rest of the nation. Making getting around town a little easier. With so many people having smart phones these days it’s easy to find the best prices by using applications like Gas Buddy and a few others. If you belong to Costco you can always fill up before or after shopping.

Entertainment is always something that people look for. The majority of the annual events occur during the months Snowbirds come to Tucson. El Tour de Tucson, Accenture Match Play Championship, and  La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Rodeo. Then there are the Casinos, Casino Del Sol and Desert Diamond. There are sites to see Sonoran Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios, Pima Air Museum, International Wildlife Museum and more. Then there are the theaters, Tucson Convention Center, and other attractions to see. And we cannot forget the golf. You can spend the winter and not play the same golf course twice.

Most snowbirds start out visiting and renting a home for the winter. Once they get here they discover that Tucson is a great place to live. That’s where I get to meet so many great people and have the pleasure of finding them their own home, town home or condo to fit their budget and life style. So if you’re looking to come to Tucson. On the upper left you will see options for finding homes. On the Home page are six quick searches to make it a little faster. Enjoy and welcome to Tucson.
